Northside is a non-denominational Christian Church. We are not the only Christians but we simply want to be known as Christians. Because of this, you will find people from all kinds of different backgrounds attending this congregation; our common bond in Christ and our commitment to the authority of his Word brings us together!

We invite you to worship with us in a contemporary worship service that is relevant and creative. The use of drama and multi-media presentations help us communicate the powerful truth of the gospel.

We know that 90% of new members will stay connected to the church if they can articulate their faith, belong to some kind of small group and have four to eight close friendships in the church. A small group obviously meets two of these three needs. Therefore, we believe small groups should be a high priority.

Small Groups meet in homes throughout the greater Springfield area during fall and spring semesters.

Women’s Bible Study meets at the church with both a morning and evening study available during the fall and spring semesters.

Choir meets weekly during fall and spring semesters. Seniors group meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters.

Sports Teams and Women’s Ministry Activities participate in activities throughout the year.

Involvement in any small group provide valuable connection opportunities. We want to help you find that connection. Contact our church office for more information.

We are not interested in doing church; we want to be the church. Therefore, you will find at Nothside people using their Time, their Talent and their Treasures to connect people to Christ and one another. We are committed to reaching the unreached people of the Springfield area with God’s message of love, hope and forgiveness made possible through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. For this reason well over 50% of our people are involved directly in ministry at Nothside with a greater percentage involved in ministry to our community. Jesus was the perfect model of service and sacrifice. We want to follow his lead.

Join our Welcome to Northside class offered at 9:00 a. m. in the conference room located off our main lobby. This is a 3-part series that is held the first, second and third Sunday each month.

The classes will address who we are, what we believe, where we are headed, our unique appeal as a non-denominational church, our leadership and how to belong. This class is a great place to meet new people, get to know our staff and learn more about our church family.

Northside Christian Church is a non-denominational fellowship of believers who seek to follow Christ and wear his name. We do not get caught up in the ritualistic and theological minutia that has too often distracted and divided the church. Our goal is unity in truth. What we believe matters and the following contains truths we adhere to.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory. – I Corinthians 15:1-8

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God–a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths. – II Timothy 3:16

We believe that every person has worth as a creation but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23

We believe that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. – John 3:16

We believe that those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Jesus Christ. – Romans 10:9 & Acts 2:38

We believe that the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and edify the saved. – Ephesians 4:1-16

We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return for his church where believers will experience everlasting joy with the Lord –
