Active participation in ministry is the intention of God’s heart for His church (His people).  God never intended for His people to stand on the sidelines and watch ministry happen.  God expects the church to use their spiritual gifts, personal style and God-given passion for the Kingdom.  Only when we embrace the attitude of service can we be what God wants us to be.
  

Isn’t it awesome that God, by His grace, has given us the opportunity to serve and minister on His behalf?  This is a privilege. This is what we were created to do.  So find your role on the team.  We need you!  If you have any questions about your spiritual gift, personal style or God-given passion, and could use some help finding an area of ministry to plug yourself into, we would encourage you to fill out a ministry card at our guest services desk or contact our church office at 833-1861.  A great book that could help you identify your area of giftedness and passion is, “What You Do Best in the Body of Christ” by Bruce Bugbee.
 

The apostle Paul said, “The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others.”  1 Corinthians 12:7 (CEV)  Pray right now that God will steer you towards your ministry of passion so that you can experience the joy of giving!

“God, steer me towards my ministry of passion.  Bless me with the joy that goes with serving you.  God, use me in the body of Christ so that others might be built up and so that you might receive the glory.”
